Hello world!

hmmm. Just like Angelina Jolie I am attracted to exotica.

Unfortuately not having quite the assets (in many regards) she does, i resorted to buying my kids through a reputable aid agency.  there are plenty that do it, some reputable and some as i discovered later, not quite so reputable.

At the time i did think it was pretty weird, purchasing a child for just $30 a month. But heh i figured, if anyone needs the help, it is these poor buggers.

Was very easy to sign up. just googled child sponsorship and hundreds of organisations pop up. some seemed pretty slick and some seemed pretty dodgy. some of the kids looked in good spirits, healthy, smiling, happy (did these guys actually need my help?) some organisations seemed to have just the really shabby looking variety of kids. the photography on each site and often in each place was quite interesting too.

it was clear that many of the kids had just been pulled out of school or at least all lined up as the backgrounds where often exactly the same

Choosing which region you want the kid from is interesting. you can even choose what gender you want – to ameliorate the problem of ‘boys germs’ undobtedly The great emotional pull of choosing one that is born on your birthday though  is quite the marketers wet dream  –  Cripes, not even self obsessed me could forget that.

anyways, i am interested in hearing about what you think about child sponsorship. it is a brilliant marketing tool. but does it work….
